President of the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band, Phillip Spencer Huff, challenges you to help the Band raise $2,500.
Why
The Band played at approximately 40 events during 2019, the vast majority performed for free with no honoraria paid. We’re able to do this because of our fans’ generosity at major Band fundraising concerts, such as Spotlight on Broadway. Due to the public health emergency we’ve had to cancel Spotlight, originally scheduled for May 9th, 2020.
Your generosity now will help us return from hiatus in a financially healthy position as our communities emerge from shelter-in-place and adjust to our “new normal.”
Our mission to unite diverse communities through public musical performances is more important than ever. With your generous support, we can together be Ambassadors of Joy and amplify our message of music, love, and acceptance.
