I’ve been playing the alto saxophone since 2007, when I was in sixth grade. Since then I have played in various bands for a variety of occasions. While I was studying at UC Berkeley, I was also performing in the University of California’s Marching Band, playing music with fellow students at Cal football games and various other occasions, most notably making an appearance at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.
After graduating, I joined the SFLGFB as an opportunity for me to continue expressing my passion for music and to have the distinguished honor of being an ally of the LGBT community.
Outside of band, I am finishing up my teaching residency at a high school in Daly City, and have recently been hired to teach physics at Everest Public High School in Redwood City, starting in the 2019-2020 school year.
When I’m not working or rehearsing with the band, I’m usually spending my afternoons playing video games or making musical arrangements.
